Family Food Giveaway Impact Report
In April of 2020, NOW Hunters Point launched our Family Food Giveaway series – our weekly food distribution program meant to combat food insecurity in Bayview Hunters Point during the public health and economic crises caused by COVID-19. We initially intended the program to only run through the end of June, but thanks to donations from the San Francisco Produce Market and the Museum of Craft and Design, as well as financial support from PG&E, we have held 21 Food Giveaways through September 10th.
We put together this Impact Report to capture how much food, children’s resources, and PPE we have been able to distribute to Bayview Hunters Point families. We’ll update this monthly as we continue to host weekly Family Food Giveaways.
